7.2. Advanced File Types

SavaPage printer supports additional file types using the PDF converter of LibreOffice as summarized in the table below. Check if LibreOffice is installed by entering the command:

libreoffice --version

LibreOffice can easily be installed with the standard installer of the GNU/Linux host. On Debian based systems you can use the command line to install the packages needed. For example:

# The core package
sudo apt install libreoffice-core unoconv

# To convert text, spreadsheet and presentation documents
sudo apt install libreoffice-writer libreoffice-calc libreoffice-impress

Warning

PDF conversion of Microsoft documents may not give correct results in all cases.

Note

Before LibreOffice can be used it must be enabled. See Options > Advanced > Converters.
