Printer Availability
--------------------

When SavaPage is temporarily unavailable, for instance during
:ref:`database backup <ch-webapp-admin-options-backups>` or :ref:`user
synchronization <ch-webapp-admin-options-user-creation>`, all
printing requests are rejected.

-  :ref:`Driverless File Transfer
   Print <ch-printer-driverless-file-transfer>` will communicate a
   message saying “The application is temporarily unavailable, please
   try again later”.

-  IPP Driver Print responds with HTTP status code 503 (service
   unavailable).

-  JetDirect Driver Print requests are silently ignored.

-  All rejected requests are logged as real-time activity in the
   :ref:`Admin Web App Dashboard <ch-webapp-admin-dashboard-activity>`.
