*SavaPage Financial* captures many aspects of user activity.
Obviously, proxy printing is the main trigger for financial
accountability and monitoring, since it consumes tangible resources like
paper, ink and toner. This chapter introduces the main financial
concepts with references to more detailed parts of the manual.

- Account are used to register financial status (balance) and history
  (transactions). SavaPage has three types of accounts:

  - |image52| *User Account* : The personal account of an User,
    optionally restricted by a Credit Limit. See

    to track printing expenses in a specific area. It does not have a
    credit Limit: its balance is initialized to zero and is allowed to
    count down into the negative.

    :ref:`User Group <ch-webapp-admin-user-groups>` by name.

- Printing costs are configured per |PROXYPRINTER|. Pay-per-Print is
  active for each |PROXYPRINTER| that has costs greater than zero.
